The San Diego Crew Classic is the premier spring rowing regatta in the United States. It is highly regarded as the inaugural race of the rowing season among rowers of all genders, levels and abilities. For decades the Crew Classic has provided athletes and spectators an outstanding combination of action-packed competition, San Diego’s finest food and beer, and grand hospitality events, all set in our iconic Crown Point venue on Mission Bay.
On the Grounds
The Crew Classic offers an array of activities in addition to world-class racing. Vendor Row brings together the top rowing and athletic brands from across country. Alumni Row provides organized viewing areas for teams and supporters to to spectate and share team spirit. Learn more about participating as an alumni group or vendor here.
You can make a difference in the lives of rowing athletes across the country by supporting the San Diego Crew Classic. We are privileged to host military veteran competitors from Freedom Rows as well as Para athletes from all over the United States. We support “Learn To Row” initiatives each spring, and are working toward becoming the world’s greenest regatta. We are able to continue this work because our Donors, Sponsors, and Stewards make it possible.
San Diego Crew Classic has stood for community, fair play, and healthy competition since 1973. Bringing a few crews together to race in our backyard has evolved into the largest west-coast regatta and a premier cause-driven event.
